We ought to pay attending simply to the intrinsic properties of a work of art. Its other, extrinsic properties are irrelevant to our artful interactions with it. For example, when nosotros look at a painting nosotros should consider only what is directly presented in our experience of it. What is actually aesthetically relevant, therefore, is not what a painting symbolizes, simply what it directly presents to experience.
The conclusion follows logically if which i of the following is added to the premises?
A. What an art work symbolizes involves only extrinsic properties of that work.
B. There are sure backdrop of our experiences of artworks that tin be distinguished every bit symbolic properties.
C. But an artwork's intrinsic properties are relevant to our aesthetic interactions with it.
D. Information technology is possible in theory for an artwork to symbolize nil.
E. An intrinsic property of an artwork is one that related the work to itself.

What is really aesthetically relevant, therefore, is non what a painting symbolizes, simply what it directly presents to feel.
The determination follows logically if which 1 of the following is added to the premises?
Decision: What is actually aesthetically relevant, therefore, is not what a painting symbolizes, only what it directly presents to feel.
A. What an art work symbolizes involves only extrinsic properties of that work.
Correct. Helps u.s.a. arrive u.s.a. at the conclusion by filling a gap in the argument.
"extrinsic properties are irrelevant to our aesthetic interactions with it"
--> The gap in the statement being filled by statement in selection A -->
What an art work symbolizes involves only extrinsic backdrop of that work.
"What is really aesthetically relevant, therefore, is not what a painting symbolizes"
B. There are certain properties of our experiences of artworks that tin be distinguished as symbolic properties.
'our experiences' make the painting aesthetically relevant- which is being referred to the 'intrinsic backdrop' (not 'extrinsic')
C. Only an artwork'south intrinsic properties are relevant to our artful interactions with it.
The biggest drawback with option C is that information technology does not help usa reach the conclusion as pick A does. Moreover, it can be argued that what selection C states is already given in the statement.
D. Information technology is possible in theory for an artwork to symbolize zippo.
May be, may exist not. Can't annotate based on the info provided. Out of telescopic.
E. An intrinsic holding of an artwork is i that related the work to itself.
The argument defines intrinsic holding as 'what it directly presents to us' (not 'itself')

The conclusion follows logically if which one of the post-obit is added to the bounds?

4. aesthetically relevant, therefore, is non what a painting symbolizes, : aesthetically relevant -x-> painting symbolizes
5. but what it direct presents to experience.: aesthetically relevant -o-> presents to feel
=> aesthetic interactions is not " extrinsic properties" or "painting symbolizes", so " extrinsic properties" are related to "painting symbolizes",

C is an extension of conclusion while A clearly demonstrates the assumption required to arrive at that conclusion.
